April 16<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup>, 2018<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Last Saturday, 9 of our GS students joined Higashi-Hiroshima\u2019s Indonesian community for a traditional \u2018satay\u2019 (barbecue). Many come to Higashi-Hiroshima from all over the world to study at Hiroshima University. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span>This gives our GS students a unique opportunity to communicate, make friends, and experience many cultures. The students helped out preparing the food, setting the tables, and enjoyed playing with the Indonesian kids! By using English and learning a different culture, they were able to make a good impression. \u201c(The GS) students are very friendly and good at English,\u201d commented Maritime Engineering student Bahrul Muflih. \u201cWe are happy to have this opportunity to get to know Japanese people.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span>This year, our GS students will continue to welcome many new friends from around the world in our international city, Higashi-Hiroshima!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
